Douglas P. Matheson is originally from Georgia and currently resides in Cornelius, NC. After graduating from Mercer University in 1988, he worked in his family business of furniture manufacturing before attending Campbell University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1997. After working with law firms and a Fortune 500 title insurance company, the entrepreneurial spirit moved him to go into private practice in 2005. Douglas’ experience involves conducting title searches and closing residential and commercial transactions in North and South Carolina.
Nicholas J. Voss, Attorney at Law
Nicholas J. Voss (Nick) grew up in Rochester, NY, in the small town of Palmyra, with a younger brother and two younger sisters. Nick attended the University at Albany, where he graduated summa cum laude from the Honors College and finished his degree in three years. He earned a B.A. in the Honors Program in psychology, completing a thesis and presenting at the undergraduate research conference, and he also earned a minor in business administration. Nick then went on to earn a scholarship and attend the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. During law school, Nick represented clients pro-bono in social security disability cases and had internship experiences focused in mergers, corporate law, and entertainment law. He graduated as the youngest student in his class in May 2019 and then passed the Universal Bar Exam in the state of North Carolina in July. Nick moved to Charlotte, NC, in September in pursuit of better weather, economy, and quality of life. Nick enjoys trying the variety of local food and beers that Charlotte offers, and outside of work, you can find him on the golf course, at the gym, or watching sports (Go Ravens). Nick intends to focus his legal career on helping others and completing transactions, and he joined Matheson Law Firm in January 2020 as a culmination of those interests.
